"Starlit Destiny is full of exciting adventure mixed with action and strong, resourceful characters. Dena is a woman that will do anything to protect her way of life, even if it means putting herself in harm's way. While Krys is also protective of those he loves and would do anything for them, including letting his family believe he was dead. The strengths these two characters show in the face of adversity is amazing and makes me wonder if I could do the same thing in their shoes. Ms. Blysse has written an astounding story of courage, daring and a whole lot of heroic occurrences, and in my opinion a book worth reading."

This picture of "Lyask" was taken off the coast of British Columbia one cool winter day. I wrote Starlit Destiny when I lived in Ketchikan, Alaska. The planet Lyask is inspired by the Inside Passage.

There is a poem that reminds me of Starlit Destiny.

Sleep not, my country: though night is here, afar
Your children of the morning are clamorous for war:
Fire in the night, O dreams!
          Though she send you as she sent you, long ago,
          South to the desert, east to ocean, north to snow,
West of these out to seas colder than the Hebrides I must go
          Where the fleet of stars is anchored, and the young
          star-captains glow.
